7. Test the WcBot

When everything is installed and configured, you can test the WcBot to prove it works correctly. This chapter will shows how to test the WcBot in several ways: Facebook Page, Messenger website and Messenger mobile App.

Test In Facebook Page

This is the quickest way. Login to Facebook and go to the Facebook Page created in chapter 2. To display chatting window, you'll need to create a message button. Please follow below sections.

Create message button

In Facebook Page, click '+ Add a Button':

Then you can choose a button, as below:

Select 'Send Message' inside 'Get In Touch' category:

Then click 'Add button':

Then the button is created as below:

Chatting Window

To open the chatting window, locate the mouse cursor over the 'Send Message' button. Then click 'Test Button':

You'll see the chatting window. You can say 'hi' to WcBot and see its response:

To try WcBot other functionalities, you can ask WcBot 'help[Enter]'. WcBot replies you that what questions it knows. You may ask 'show products'. You should see the products from your WooCommerce CMS.

Test in Messenger Web

Messenger web performs same functionality as Facebook Page chatting window. But it has bigger screen size. There has two ways to chat with WcBot Messenger Web.

1. From chatting window

In last section at your Facebook Page chatting, click 'Tools' icon and 'Open in Messenger':

2. From messenger.com

Open a new browser tab (or window), go to URL: messenger.com. Then search your Facebook Page name:

Test In Mobile Device

Messenger is available on most popular mobile platforms: Android, iOS phones and tablets. Following testing is on iPhone.

iPhone Messenger

Open Messenger App, search & select your Facebook Page name. Below is the screenshot of the iPhone:

Facebook App Submission

When all testing is okay, you can submit your Facebook App to make it public. Now the WcBot answers you only since the Facebook App is non-public. Once your Facebook App is public, WcBot will answer all user messages.
